Social by Social was the name of the book commissioned from us by NESTA and then published here as an online and hardcopy resource.
But "Social by Social" is also a concept, a way of doing things, the phrase we've come up with to describe what more and more people are doing: using social technologies for social impact. We hope that this umbrella concept will provide a rallying point, online and offline, for all those working in a "social by social" way to connect with each other, share ideas and experiences, and push conversations and projects forward.
